Put a scam expert in your contacts.
You don't need to open an app. Save one contact. When an email feels off, forward it to Double Check. You'll get a plain-English answer back.
1
Tap the button above to save the contact
“Double Check Scam Checker” will appear in your contacts, right next to family and friends.
2
When something feels off, forward it
Got an email that seems strange? Forward it to Double Check, the same way you'd forward anything to a friend.
3
You'll get an answer back
Within a couple of minutes you'll receive a reply: Scam, Action Needed, or Looks Safe, plus what it is and what to do next, in plain English.
The honest fine print:
- Forward from the email address you signed up to Double Check with. If you don't have an account yet, the app is free to download and sign-up takes 30 seconds.
- You can forward up to 5 emails per day (the limit resets at midnight UTC). For unlimited checks, use the app.
- Replies come from scan@mydoublecheck.app. Check your spam folder if the first one doesn't arrive.
How to save it on your phone
Add on iPhone
- Tap the blue “Save this contact” button above.
- A contact card opens on your screen. Tap “Create New Contact” (you may need to scroll down to see it).
- Tap “Done” in the top-right corner. That's it. Double Check is now in your contacts.
Add on Android
- Tap the blue “Save this contact” button above. A small file called doublecheck.vcf downloads.
- Tap the download notification at the top of your screen (or open your Files app and look in Downloads).
- Your phone asks where to save it. Choose Contacts and tap Save. Done.
Doing this for a parent?
This is the single easiest protection you can set up. Your mom or dad doesn't need to learn an app, remember a password, or change any habit. They already know how to forward an email.
Save the contact on their phone next time you visit (it takes 10 seconds), tell them: “If an email ever feels off, forward it to Double Check.” Make sure they've signed up with the email address they actually use. With Double Check Pro, you can even get an automatic alert whenever a scam is detected.
